Peter, Many thanks for your input. My 3xg.grandfather was William Higgins born about 1832 (surmised from census). His marriage cert. 1854 England showed a William Higgins as father (deceased) Sometime between 1832 & 1854 (possibly potato famine) William moved to England where he married in 1854. Other than that info I have nothing before his move to England & who knows whether or not our families were related? Brothers, cousins etc so I thank you so much.
