    3. Castletown is at the intersection of maps 65 and 73. It is on the very bottom edge of 65, so you also need 73, which is below 65. Castletown is also at the extreme left edge of 65, so it is good to have 64 and 72 also. I have these 4 maps mounted on a wall in my office so I can see the entire area around Castletown / Rossmore. 3. Marie, if you are also interested in viewing the area in greater detail possible than on the paper Discovery map, the Ordnance Survey of Ireland (OSI) website is very useful. Here is a link centered on Castletown: http://maps.osi.ie/publicviewer/#V1,544682,630631,4,10 Toggle the different map series at the right to see different types of maps. The historic 6", ortho (aerial views - 2000 and 2005 are best) and street map are all useful for genealogy purposes. Pan and zoom with the controls at the upper right. Also look at the "Legend", which tells you what kinds of boundaries are represented by what lines on the map (for the historic 6"). As you zoom in, the maps change, and there are more townland names included. You can see the townland boundaries on the historic 6" maps (unlike on the Discovery Series) - very useful for genelaogy. I use these all the time. Geralyn Wood Barry in Oregon On 2/22/2011 11:48 AM, Marie Goforth-Allen wrote: > I want a Discovery Map that covers the area in and around Castletown (Corcomohide).
