The confusing part to me is that the Petty sessions tell you the other person involved and I assume the Prison Registers do too. In other words, I see one prison record on familysearch naming Ellen Devine as the victim. It does not say who attacked her. From looking at the Petty Sessions I know it was the man next door, Patrick Casey, who was probably a relative. I learned a lot from putting the various Casey men together. So, to me that is a pretty big thing to lose in translation. I have not had time to check out whether there was any way to be able to figure out who the defendant and plaintiff both were on familysearch. FMP does have a couple of Pay as you Go options. To view a court record is 20 credits. I think the cheapest option was about $11. I was looking at the options. FMP has the actual page image. I hope that helps. 3. Jennifer, If you look to the right you will see Pay as you Go. Studying the options and how much you will use is a good idea. http://www.findmypast.ie/help/index?key=309 The cheapest pay as you go option gives you 100 credits. It uses 20 credits to look at the Petty Session and Prison Registers. So you are only going to get 5 documents. I would say stay away from the Civil B, M & Ds. I found them only to be the index. At least in the UK Find My Past. Joan in Parramatta To view the image you need to go to a Family History Centre and logon using their computer. Ensure that the person at the centre has actually logged in otherwise you will find the same notation come up. 1. Re: [IRL-LIMERICK] St. Johns C. of I Graveyard transcriptions
    2. Carla Johnson
    3. Hi Sharon,         Thank You so very much for doing the transcriptions. Number 19 is my John Fitzgerald and Anna Maria. In the church records that were sent to me the Fitzgerald who died on November 11, 1834 is listed as N. R. for a first name so I didn't even think of this being him. The Anna Maria is stated as having died December 21, 1854. The newspaper obituaries that I have found for my Anna Maria states she died December 22, 1854. I believe one of the dates is a mistake. Also now I need to find the marriage record for Anna Maria and James D'Arcy Evans. The Peerage books state they married on January 2, 1834. If John died in November of 1834, then I believe that James and Anna married in January 1835. Is there a way to take paper or something and shade it so that it picks up what is on the stone, besides what you put on the index? I tried to copy the picture of the headstone and couldn't. Is it possible for you to send me a copy of the picture? Again thank you so much.   Carla   --- On Fri, 6/29/12, Sharon Slater <sharon.o.slater@gmail.com> wrote: From: Sharon Slater <sharon.o.slater@gmail.com> Subject: [IRL-LIMERICK] St. Johns C. of I Graveyard transcriptions To: irl-limerick@rootsweb.com Date: Friday, June 29, 2012, 12:05 PM I have photographed and transcribed the St. John's Church of Ireland graveyard http://limerickslife.com/st-johns-graveyard/ Hopefully you'll find someone of yours in there. 1. [IRL-LIMERICK] Can parents' names come up for their children?
    2. Jan Fortado
    3. On one record, there are two names: Mary Mahony, also known as Maurice Mahony, age 15, born in 1856. It is the correct townlandwhere they were living in 1871. The date, though, is the date for the SON'S birth - 1856. Because he was under age, could the parents'name have been used instead? Or maybe I have to use a FHC to find out more. Thanks for any insight.
