This list came along at just the right time! A family member sent me a photo of a tombstone (unreadable) taken at the Ballingarry Cemetery. He put its location just south of Knocklong in Limerick. They included a text (no source) that describes the cemetery as being in the parish of Glenbrohane, opposite Ss. Peter and Paul well. A 1935 obit has Michael Cronin buried in the "parish church to Ballingarry". First question, can anyone confirm the name of this cemetery and which Catholic parish it's in? Second, is anyone able to visit the cemetery and help decipher the names on the tombstone (I have some photos). Appreciate any leads you can give! Pat Florida, USA (From CMC list) Christina

Fellow researchers Due to the tireless and magnificent efforts of the contributors a great Christmas present has been created with 110,003 index records from 13,438 memorials of deeds available for free search and downloading of abstracts. The main search page of the project is at: http://members.pcug.org.au/~nickred/deeds/search_index.html To see the data for one memorial once you know who the indexer is use: http://members.pcug.org.au/~nickred/deeds/memorial_search2.htm An example of the gems in the Registry of Deeds in shown here: http://members.pcug.org.au/~nickred/deeds/memorial_extract.cgi?my_memorial=278991&my_indexer=nickred It documents a marriage 52 years earlier than the deed together with the spouses of the bride's sisters. It also lists 8 children of the marriage together with the husbands of two of them. It mentions 22 people in all. May the new year bring many successes in you research. -- Regards Nick My Sites My home <http://members.iinet.net.au/%7Enickred/> My newspaper extracts <http://members.iinet.net.au/%7Enickred/newspaper/index.html> Registry of Deeds Index Project <http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/%7Eregistryofdeeds/index.html> Managed Sites Irish Genealogical Research Society <http://www.igrsoc.org/index.htm> Majura tennis Club <http://members.iinet.net.au/%7Enickred/majuratennis/>
