    2. Christina Hunt
    3. Oddly enough I have had two emails this evening from list members wanting to know why their emails were being rejected saying they are not members of the list. The answer is always the same. You must send emails to the list from the email address you subscribed from. If you send from one you use but did not subscribe from, the computer that processes list mail will stop the message. So, be aware that this is the problem, if this happens to you. Christina list admin

Thomas married a widow Ellen Nichols nee Cormick/ McCormack who was born Limerick 1818 and married 3 rd March 1845,Catholic Church, county of Murroe, Limerick Ellen's parents were Michael Cormick/McCormack and Margaret Mahoney One of Patrick Murphy and Ellen Cormick's daughter's Ellen ,married John O'halloran/Hallinan/Halloran in Australia. 1. Re: [IRL-LIMERICK] IFHS records - Names of Grooms Parents
    2. I, too, found the marriage (1844) and subsequent baptisms of children (1844 and 1846) through IFHF for West Galway. Through the information on those records, I was put in contact with the church who has the old records. When I received the copies of the actual church records, it was the same: no parents' names for the bride and groom...only the surnames of the fathers of the bride and groom. I was happy anyway because I now found WHERE IN GALWAY (parish and townland). Kitty **************It's Tax Time! Get tips, forms, and advice on AOL Money & Finance. 3. Chris, Do you have his RIC service record? It will tell you where he was "native to", which is supposed to be where he was born. Well, county only. You can send for it via the Police Museum in Belfast email: museum@psni.police.uk I have been searching for my (RIC) Gr Grandfathers birth and death dates and have recently discovered that the RIC pension records are now available on line from the Kew Archives in Sent: Friday, March 07, 2008 1:59 PMLondon. For a fee of course. Have sent a request for an estimate for these records.Waiting to hear back from them. Hoping that if I can find when and where his pension stopped, may locate his death place and date and then be able to obtain death record which will hopefully lead to his birth record also. Good luck! 3. Maureen~ Were these sacramental records from a Church or were they Civil Records which for Protestants started in 1845?? I have the marriage (Civil) for my g grandparents from Limerick City 1862. She was Catholic but he was Protestant. It gives the bride and grooms occupation, church, address at the time of the marriage. Only the father's names were listed and their occupations. There were no mother's names or where the parents resided. The nationalities of the bride and groom and the two fathers. I have the sacramental record for my g g grandparents in County Mayo from 1835. It lists the names of the bride and groom, the sponsors, the townlands where they resided, the names of the father's and their townlands. All were the same townland. No mother's were listed. Going forward to my g grandmothers in 1860, all is still the same on the sacramental certificate, however it was for a different church. We have the marriage and baptismal records for the RC church in Rathagan County Wexford from 1803 to about 1900. The data is the same as mentioned above. Mary Ellen Chambers Lakewood, OH:
