Hi Mary Ellen The records were from the Roman Catholic Church in the the Parish/District of Bruff in the County of Limerick, but no name of the Church. The names of the Bride and Groom and their RC denomination, their parents only listed with Surnames and then names of the Witnesses and the date of the marriage. That's all. Dear List, I found a birth/baptism and marriage entry relating to my Leonard ancestors, and consequently purchased them. I was disappointed to find that on the marriage certificate, the bride and groom's parents names were not listed, nor the name of the Church in Bruff. My question is, does the Parish register entry in 1849 for the marriage not include these details, or haven't they been transcribed? Oola [and Oola Hills] is on the Tipp Limerick border. There were Godfrey's in and around Tipperary Town, only a few miles away, so I would expand the search to there also.
