However, I would welcome help from anyone who can provide it. Here are the details as I know them: Ambrose Rend (the surname I know him under) was born in Leitrim ca. 1814, married Elizabeth Cline, had a son William P. ca. 1840 and emigrated to Lowell, Ma ca. 1847. At some later date his wife died and he remarried Catharine Gannon, also of Leitrim. They had two sons, both born in Lowell: John, born ca. 1861 and Ambrose Joseph, born 7 Sep 1863. The family then moved to Chicago ca. 1864. Three daughters were born there: Elizabeth "Lizzie" ca. 1865, Anna ca. 1867 and Catharine ca. 1871. Again, I am hoping to find out from where in Leitrim he came, and what his original surname was (Wren, Wrenn, Rynn, Rynne, etc.?). I hope you will find this information useful. Thanks a million, Peter
