I am descended from the line of Croftons' from Lakefield. Richard Crofton was the fourth son of Duke Crofton of Lakefield. He married Francis Mary Marsh with whom he had several children (now deceased). He had an affair with Emily Catherine Anne Brown. Emily's mothers maiden name was Atkins which was added to the Crofton. The affair produced an illegitmate child, The Reverend William Arthur Crofton-Atkins, who was my gggGrandfather.
