    1. Re: Redican Census Returns Co. Leitrim 1901
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Rodican, Redihan, Reddican, Townland Crummy Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/YWC.2ACI/4976.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: All who read this probably already know this, BUT my grandfather, Andrew Rodican from Crummy townland is noted under his father Andrew Redihan in the 1901 census. My mother confirmed this is his family, due to twin brothers, older sisters, etc. However, he always used the surname Rodican. Yet, in Griffiths, the only Crummy residents of similar name are Reddican: Reddican Patrick Leitrim Kiltubbrid Crummy - William Duckworth Ho off ld (w/11 o) 252   Reddican James Leitrim Kiltubbrid Crummy - William Duckworth Ho off ld (w/11 o) 252 I'm guessing James Reddican is my great grandfather Andrew Redihan's father, since the children of Patrick don't look like any of our traditional family names. Anyway, even if your name is now Redican, don't forget to look for Rodican and vice versa, if your family is from Leitrim. By the way, if anyone knows more about Andrew, Andrew and James, I'd love to know. My grandfather was a remarkable man, and I want to know more about his family. Thanks, Louise - a Rodican/Geoghegan descendant
