I asked him his family nickname and he mentioned they were the "Black Jack" McGoverns from Ballinamore. This has me very interested since my McGoverns originate from Ballinamore and referred to themselves as "Black" McGoverns. Have anyone ever heard of these McGoverns or know of someone I might ask more questions about them? Noel was gracious enough to tell me a bit about his McGoverns, but did not seem like he wanted to get much into his family history. Not his interest I assume, so I am trying to ask questions from others. Don McGovern
