This was my husband,s greatgrandfather and his parents were William and Lucy (Quin) Gallagher. John as I mentioned married Mary McOscar/McCusker and moved to Scotland. I do have most of the family from then on. It is possible that William remarried. He could have had another life, as most children from a first marriage seem to have been left, to be raised by the Maternal side. One thing I did notice, that none of the following sons in any of the Gallagher families were called William. So he may have been out of favour.
