That Garadice is (not surprisingly) on the north shore of Garadice Lough, 3 miles nearly due East of Ballinamore town, in Drumreilly (Lower) civil parish. I believe that someone, sometime, misread and switched a couple of letters in your townland's name. The townland of Lisgruddy (if you switch the ru to a ur, and read the r like an n........then you get Lisgunddy - pretty close to your spelling. The townland of Lisgruddy lies directly north of Garadice townland, and actually touches it. So the main part of Lisgruddy would be less than a mile north of the center of Garadice townland/village. Although there are various other "Lis-" townlands in Co. Leitrim, this one is by far the closest in spelling (and, in geography <gr>).
