    3. Yes, I have been all over the West Virginia sites, Ohio Valley, Ohio County, etc. And I do know that WV wasn't WV at the time, it was Virginia. The marriage date was probably 1851, being that they had their first child in 1852. And yes, their ages do vary throughout the various censuses, but that is a pretty big jump. In 1851 they should only have been about 19-21ish, so the 30-35 seems to be too much of a jump. But the 1851 is intriguing! because that is what I would expect. After I sent this letter, I found a website for the Diocese of Wheeling, and I am hopeful this time! because they actually have a heritage center, including record archives, open to the public. So maybe I will find out the county they are from. I have called them for six years, and they are always moving to a new building, dealing with a flood, etc etc etc, and unable to help me, but will "soon," and no, I can't do it on my own; so no volunteers can help me out there. But I will actually be in the area in September, so I am praying mightily that it doesn't just say "Ireland" as place of birth. I can find no other Sarah and James McNamara as a couple on the ships, although I know that the passenger lists are not complete. And I have no way of knowing if they came over as a couple or met and married in the US. They would have been young, only 19-21 or so when they married in 1851 and the first baby came a year later. Still taking ideas! Nancy
