My problem here is that I don't know Mayo at all. The indices list events by Registrar's district which is not the same as parish. Do you know what this might be? It is usually, I think, the same as the Poor Law Union. Otherwise I would have a problem. Her death would be down as Jane (or possibly even Jean or Janet) Gallagher. This is not an uncommon name so there could be loads of them. Also you only give the year of death. Does this mean you are unsure of it? If it's only a guess (even a close guess) this would make the search harder. (I assume she was about 79 at death?) JIm
