Did US census records for Christopher McKiernan, his mother Mary and wife Anne show Mary and Anne immigrated to the US in 1870 or that his wife was born in Ireland and that Christopher and his wife married prior to 1870? The McKiernans listed in Castle Garden were both already married when they emigrated from England to Manhattan. Even though they have the same names as Christopher's mother and wife, they wouldn't necessarily be the same people or be from the same family. Did US census records for Catherine McKiernan Gough show that she was born in Ireland and that she emigrated to the US in 1870?
