My cousin has just returned from County Leitrim and has forwarded me a picture of a gravestone he located in an old graveyard just outside of Bundoran to the north east. He believes that this graveyard is called the "Old Finner Graveyard". I am quite certain that the headstone is that of my great grandfather John Ferguson and his family. The headstone is quite modern, likely erected sometime within the last 10 years. The inscription reads: John Ferguson Derryloughan died 14 February 1934 His wife Mary died 24 September 1938 Their sons Charles Ferguson died 23 July 1906 and Bernared Ferguson died 10 July 1930, his wife Rose died 18 June 1930 James Ferguson died 19 March 1969, his wife Annie died 08 April 1951 Patrick Ferguson died 24 February 1951, his wife Margaret died 24 January 1948. Their sons John died 03 September 1919 and Patrick died 23 May 1993 Margaret Mangan died 03 September 1981 Eileen Ferguson died 22 April 1996 Margaret Mary Ferguson died 19 October 1951 Michael Ferguson died 15 October 1954 I do not know who the last 4 names listed on the gravestone are, but Charles, Bernared, James and Patrick are my grandfather's brothers. Does anyone know if the Old Finner Graveyard is the correct name for the graveyard outside of Bundoran? Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do in order to determine who the person/persons were who erected this gravestone? The gravestone is well tended and adorned with flowers, etc so it is very likely there are living Fergusons in the area who are related to this family. Many thanks for your help, Sharon Ferguson
