I was asking about the Townland for a cousin I acquired through DNA testing. He is from Toronto and I live in the US. He eventually found the townland in Co Sligo, Spelled Breeoge. The Briggs was developed by relatives who mispronounced and mispelled the ancestors birth place. The last sentence in you message intrigued me very much. Could you give me more information on what records are going on line? Are you talking about the records in the Dublin records office? Is there a site on the internet that gives information about this? The potential benefits to family historians like me are so great that I am getting excited about it all rready.
