They have primarily associated with Sligo, but I believe they are also associated with Roscommon and Leitrim. I am interested in any info whatsoever- about living/deceased Phibbs, their marriages, births, deaths, census returns etc. Many of the Phibbs' I have researched have been associated with teh army, so anybody who can access military records etc, I would also be grateful if you could post here or contact me. In addition, information on any of the families they have been associated with would be great- these include: Irwin, Ormsby, Lloyd, Fleming, Clifford, McDermott, Boileau, Taylor, Knott, Wynne, White and Johnston, though I am particularly interested in the connection with the Eccles and Gawleys. If anybody is also researching this area, please contact me and I would be happy to share any info that may be of interest. Thanks, Sarah

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/YWC.2ACI/4795.1.1.1.2.1 Message Board Post: Dear Helen, Thank you for answering, This makes our day! You are most definately a cousin. It will be most helpful to establish your ancient roots. At what time did your line begin the use of the variant spelling of Peavey? What location were they living in when they adopted it? How is your line related to the Kent County and Wiltshire County, England, Peavey- Pevereley- Peverels , possibly the Salisbury ones? Do you have any old tales that some ancestor came from USA to England? Some sister married Royal? Around 1710 in Newington, NH one line of our Peverel-Pevereley-Pevey- modernized to Peavey. I assumed they were copying some English kin who modernized. Being stationed as Knights in Ireland , Scotland and Wales made themselves variant names to adapt to those countries. Do you find in Wales or anywhere use of Peavey prior to 1700? We so far are making a GRID OF ALL RECORDS BY LOCATION AND DATE. For Peverel- Pevereley- Pevey- Peve- Peavey-Pavey etc. These are all from the root Peuerel. William the Conquerors ancestors the " FearLess Kings". which is from whence cometh William Peverel ( the Conqueror's son) from whence you most assuredly descend. I need to know if you know about your heritage? Do you know that you have Royal Blood? Does anyone in the line have RH negative blood, any miscarriages along the line or dead babies. Do you have a y shaped vein on the back of one hand on any one in the bloodline? Your information is priceless.Where is Leitrim? Please! Please! scan a picture of yourself about marriage age, and of your oldest Peavey bloods. This is an ultra important genetic traits study. Usually no similiar traits would be left, but in our case the Royal Genes are so condensed that these are dominent genes that prevail even to this generation. Where are you located? We are mostly your USA cousins, We have only one in South Wales. You are a great contact for us. Be advised that the COLLEGE OF ARMS IN LONDON IS CURRENTLY EMPLOYED BY US AND WE AWAIT THE REPORT. They are most interested in the connections in Wales! We have some great stories, castle pictures, LETTER FROM SIR HUGH PEVEREL WRITTEN 1270 etc. That will be your roots. It is a great letter, Sir Hugh Peverel is a knight who is announcing that he is in the defense of Christianity going on a crusade ,and if he is killed that his heirs still twice yearly give to support the church he built. We need to back your line up, it WILL hook to us. We thank God that we found you. Don't disappear, you are very important to us! You may be aware that the USA has a LOT of progeny going by Peavey and it's variants, We have them rounded up but not all classified, may be 7,000 of them classified. We are over 100 PV- Peverel -Pevereley genealogists consolidated in the quest. We ALL come from the root stock of Peverel- Pevereley- Pevey- Pevy. The one line that adapted the Peavey variant seems to be the Kinsmanship line for the inheritance of the big estates from the Knights. We therefore feel they were copying the English- Wales Kin from whom they were destined to inherit. Do you have the name James in the lines anywhere? We have a James Pevereley- Peverley who died in Wales in 1612. A study we hired 40 years ago of the entire world reveals USA the hub of Peavey. Very few anywhere else, Two in Australia. I hired 35 yrs ago , very slim results for over seas. Please respond. I think I have given you enough questions & requests for now. If anyone reads this connected with these variant surnames PLEASE CONTACT US. We are about to crack open the lines using the grid we are making. I can hardly await your pictures and answers. I am so excited. The 1600 Peverel-Pevereleys and the 1700 Peaveys were some mariners and Yeoman for the Crown, but they are all hard workers, very influential , leaders of men from the Royal training. To let you know President Bush, Queen Elizabeth II and Andrew Card Bush's Chief of staff are all cousins of yours.Plus Rockefeller and Tiffany. To understand this clearly Peverel is one of the lines that carries ALL THE ROYAL LINES OF EUROPE! Peverel you are and Peverel you be! Kind of interesting HUH! Love June
