I have the baptism of Thomas McLOUGHLIN at Mount Mellick on 14 Nov 1847, father Patrick McLOUGHLIN and mother Bridget BERGIN. There were five other children with these parents baptised at Mount Mellick in the period 1844 -1854, see http://www.igp-web.com/igparchives/ire/laois/churches/mtmellick-bap-m.txt I note that a Patrick McLOUGHLIN had a daughter Jane baptised at Mount Mellick on 9 Feb 1840 but the mother was Mgt: MALONE. I suspect the mother, Margaret, died shortly after this and Patrick then married Bridget BERGIN. I am looking for the marriage of Patrick McLOUGHLIN to Bridget BERGIN around 1843/44 and the likely marriage of Patrick McLOUGHLIN to Margaret MALONE around 1840 Any help would be very much appreciated.
