We are researching the Fennelly family who came to be known as Finley in the U.S. Our research centers around Doonane and nearby townlands in Laois and in nearby County Kilkenny. Our research centers around families who emigrated in years up to the early 1850s. We are researching the Neil family which came to be known as O'Neil in the U.S. Our Mary O'Neil married a Fennelly in Queen's County before they emigrated. Their Irish born children are registered in Doonane church records. She was from a neighboring parish. Joyce
