Greetings from New Mexico, While I'm not entirely new to this listserve, I haven't posted to it in well over a year and would like to post the names I'm researching again in hopes of making a connection to someone else working on the same lines. Cornelius BERGIN was born about 1788 in Laois; he married Elizabeth STRINGER who was born c 1792. Their children, all born in Co Laois, include Patrick, b 11 Mar 1814; Daniel, b 1 Jan 1816; Mary, b 15 Aug 1818; Michael, b 24 May 1819; John, b c 1823; and Cornelius, b c 1825. The entire family emigrated to America prior to 1836. In America the children married: Patrick married Anna DIAMOND in Albany, NY, on 7 Aug 1836; Daniel married Catherine BROGHY; Mary married Joseph HINES; Michael married Jane DONAHOE; John married Mary LOGAN; and Cornelius is listed as insane on the US censuses and never married.
