    3. Hi there, I have been asked about Delanys in Laois as I have a Delany family. Mine is back in the early 1700's so I don't know anything further forward. However, I just came across a simple Delany pedigree called Delany of Bagnalstown Co. Carlow. It starts with James DELANY (b. 1789) of Newtown m. Anne d/o Daniel NOLAN. The source is Vistitation of Ireland by Frederick A. Crisp, Vol. 5. Pub 1911. Also mentioned Margaret wife of Patrick BRENNAN of Killgorey, Queen's Co. Joanna d/o William BRENNAN of Skehana. Bridget d/o Wm. KEATING of Ballyharmon. Mary d/o James BUTLER If anyone wants a scan of this page I will send it. Just contact me at: Ninah@carolina.rr.com Regards, Christina North Carolina, USA

    3. My great Grandmother was baptized in Mountrath Co, Laois, July the 4th 1838. Her GodParents were Michael Goram & Kitty or Betty Delanay. Do you have those names ? ----- Original Message ----- From: Christina Hunt <Ninah@carolina.rr.com> To: <IRL-LAOIS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, September 06, 2002 12:51 PM Subject: [LAOIS] DELANEY > Hi there, > I have been asked about Delanys in Laois as I have a Delany family. 3. I Christina, My great great Grandmother Mary Hynes( Michael & Anne Bourke) was born in Co. Laois . She was baptized in Mountrath July 4 1838. Her god parents were Michael Goran (Govern -hard to read) and Betty Delanay. They were living in Trumra (Trumera) Ireland. I wonder if this is any relations with your Delanays. Good luck ----- Original Message ----- From: Christina Hunt <Ninah@carolina.rr.com> To: <IRL-LAOIS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, September 06, 2002 12:51 PM Subject: [LAOIS] DELANEY > Hi there, > I have been asked about Delanys in Laois as I have a Delany family.
