I wonder if any researchers of the Abbeyleix area have delved into the archives of the De Vesey family, that covers so much of the history of the area. My recollection is that some of these records are on microfilm, but I don't know if or how the film might be accessible in the U.S. or outside of the archives where the records are kept.
