Hi Trudie -- I would be interested in the Fitzpatricks of Queens County, too. Bernard Fitzpatrick married in 1808 my great grandaunt Ann Dann, who was born 5 Mar 1787 in Coolrain, Clonenagh Parish, Queens County. Bernard (called Barney) was born 24 May 1787 in Ireland and died 1863 in Sauquoit, Litchfield Twp., Herkimer County, NY. He was obviously too early to answer your question directly, but perhaps you will be more interested as you trace your line back. He was Roman Catholic, the second and youngest son of William Fitzpatrick, son of Richard, son of John Fitzpatrick, Earl of Upper Ossory and Baron of Gawron in the county of Kilkenny. He came to America with his family in 1842. If you come up with more information and find that your Fitzpatricks are of the same line, please let me know! Bob. One of my ancestor Mary Hynes (Michael & Anne Burke daughter) was baptized in Mountrath, but they were living in the townland of Trumra about 2 miles from Mountrath. On the Baptistery, her godparents were Thos Quigly and Margaret Fitzpatrick. This was September 27 1840. Mary came to Canada in 1846 with her mother Anne Bourke and her brothers and sisters. Mountrath is in Queen Co. and Ossory is realy close to Mountrath. I wonder if there is connections with your Fitzpatrick. Hi - I have nly just found out about my Fitzpatrick ancestors - Sarah Fitzparick and her father Patrick. Patrick was born in Laois. I do not know whereabouts. Fitzpatrick is apparently very common round this area of Ireland. If I come up with anythig more I will let you know. Thanks Trudie
