    1. Re: [WW1] John Brennan-Royal Irish Rifles
    2. Michael Brennan
    3. Hi Linda I think the messages got a bit mixed up but thanks for replying. I am looking for my Great Uncle John Brennan who served in the Royal Irish Rifles. He came from a village called Ballickmoyler in the County of Laois, Ireland. His Fathers name was Mark Brennan and his mothers name was Kate Brennan (nee Lalor). John Brennan was wounded twice in action in France. He was also a full time soldier in the regular army. As you can see I know very little about this man which is why I am using this medium to try and find someone who may have, as you suggested, kept newspaper cuttings of local papers in Carlow or Laois about local men in WW1. Thanks again Michael Brennan Kent England Home: michael@janbren.freeserve.co.uk ----- Original Message ----- From: "tottiebob" <jkne11789@cableinet.co.uk> To: <GREATWAR-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, August 26, 2000 4:38 PM Subject: Re: [WW1] John Brennan-Royal Irish Rifles > I found my local newspaper a mind of information, photographs, recruitments, letters, wounded and missing and of course those that died locally also other parts of the country > some annoncements even give their Army and Naval number so you could pick something up.
