Ireland Descendants of Thomas Kelly from Co.Laois. IRL Generation No. 1 1. THOMAS KELLY was born 1856 in Ardateggle. Co. Leix. IRL, and died 16 January 1910. He married BRIGIT CARTER. Children of THOMAS KELLY and BRIGIT CARTER are: i. ALISE KELLY. ii. BOB KELLY, married. MARY DOWLING, Killeshin, Carlow. IRL iii. ELSA KELLY. iv. MARGARET KELLY. v. MARTIN KELLY. vi. PATRICK KELLY, born. 6 November 1885, Ardateggle. Co. Leix IRL; died. 2 January 1971, 43 Elizabeth St, Ossining, New York, USA. Notes for PATRICK KELLY: Emigrated to America in the 1920/30's and lived at 43 Elizabeth St, Ossining, NY 10562 USA Also lived at Crietton House, Harmon on Hudson, New York, USA 2. vii. IRl; died. 17 April 1964, County Hospital, Portlaoise, Co. Laois. IRL. 4. ix. ANNIE KELLY, born. 4 November 1901, Ardateggle. Co. Leix IRL; died. 4 October 1978, 7 Clonbun, Trim, Co. Meath. IRL Generation No. 2 2. THOMAS KELLY was born 17 March 1888 in Ardateggle, Co. Laois, IRL and died 24 January 1980 in Bayport, NY, USA. Emigrated to America in the 1920's He died on 24th January 1980 aged 92 years of age. He lived in Long Beach for over 50 years. Held the position of Head Custodian of City Hall of Long Beach, New York for 40 years. He was appointed to this position by the founder of Long Beach, Senator Reynolds RIP in 1920 until his retirement in 1960. Veteran of World War 1. A member of Knights of Columbus, St. Mary's Holy Name Society A member of Long Beach Democratic Party He was buried in Holy Rood Cemetery in Westbury, Long Island, NY on Monday 28th January 1980. 3. WILLIAM KELLY was born 10 March 1894 in Doonane, Crittyard, Co. Laois, IRL, and died 17 April 1964 in County Hospital, Portlaoise, Co. Laois. He married ELIZABETH (Lily) BRENNAN (My Mother) 20 January 1960 in Sacred Heart Church, Arles, Co. Laois. IRL, daughter of THOMAS BRENNAN and MARY MORAN. Buried in Mayo graveyard Co. Laois, IRL. the headstone has fallen over on it's face. 4. ANNIE KELLY was born 4 November 1901 in Ardateggle. Co. Leix, and died 4 October 1978 in 7 Clonbun, Trim, Co. Meath. She married DAVID REID. MCFARLANE 1939 in Belfast, NI, son of ALEXANDER MCFARLANE and SUSAN REID. She was working in Oak Park in 1936, Carlow, IRL when she met her husband David McFarlane. Child of ANNIE KELLY and DAVID MCFARLANE is: 6. i. DAVID MCFARLANE, born. 24 February 1939, Dublin. Generation No. 3 5. GERARD KELLY was born in Long Beach, NY, USA. He married MILDRED DUFFY. Also researching the following members of my family: Moran, Brennan, Bulger/Bolger, Lawler/Lalor/Lawlor, Kelly, Kavanagh, McDonald, in the Counties of Leix, Dublin & Meath, Ireland also looking for Alstead and Stanley in Yorkshire England.
