    3. The Euro isn't just about to kick in - the pound is about to kick out Christina. We've been using the new currency since the beginning of the New Year.................until now, the old currrency has been acceptable, but from January 9th the Irish pound no longer exists. From now we speak of Euro and cent..............there is no plural. Every time I spoke of a Euro or cent I thought in terms of dollars initially 100 cents = 1 dollar................US or AUS or anywhere else................ but in Europe, it's singular 100 cent = 1 EURO. and now - we have no pounds shillings or pence anymore. The staff at the GRO have said their fees are going to go up - all prices were supposed to have been frozen duing the changeover period - this first month. GRO fees have been as you give here, for as long as I have known them, so it's logical that they should go up. I wish the service would with it!
