Greetings from New Mexico! I'm researching the BERGIN and STRINGER families in Co Laois. I just received an address for an ancestor's residence in the mid 1800s. The address reads: Joseph Stinger Knockanolan Castle Durrow Post Office Queens County Ireland. I don't know much about the geography of Ireland and am not sure how to read the address. I'm assuming that Durrow is the town in which Joseph Stringer lived; but what is the reference to Knockanolan Castle? or does the address read Knockanolan, Castle Durrow?
