    3. Researching Andrew MAHER (my Gr-Grandfather) - Died Nov. 16, 1871, Aged 75 Years, Native of Blansford, Queens (Laois) County, Ireland; as per records from St. Mary's Cemetery in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. I have no information on his immigration to North America. Earliest record I could find is his marriage at Saint Malachy's Roman Catholic Church in Saint John, N.B.;viz; Married Marjorie McCALLISTER on Feb. 14th, 1846. Married by License -not Banns- and described in the entry in Sacramental Records as Widower and Carpenter. Children from this marriage: Andrew MAHER -Baptised 21-FEB.-1847 Aged 8 day Catharine MAHER -Baptised 25-AUG.-1850 Aged 13 day James MAHER -Baptised 19-AUG.-1853 Aged 10 day The only information I have on James MAHER comes from his mother's obituary -June 1901- in the Saint John papers, where it is stated he was a resident of Boston, MA and employed as an Electrician. I would welcome contact from anyone researching this MAHER family line. Also researching Timothy READY, born circa 1797, County Tippreary and Hugh FARRY, born circa 1797, County Tyrone. All arrived in Saint John, N.B. in the early 1800's. With many thanks to the List Owner for inviting this Roll Call. Pete Maher
