Hi, all, I found the grave stone of Edward MAHAR on Prince Edward Island Canada. It says that he died Dec 27, 1875 aged 85, and that he was a native of Queens Co Ireland. I haven't found a marriage record yet, so perhaps he married an Elizabeth SHIELS before leaving Ireland. Unfortunately I don't yet know when he arrived on PEI, nor where he was born in Laois. I do have some information about the family on PEI if anyone senses a possible connection, and I'd be happy to pass it on. I believe him to be my gr gr grandfather, and would be very appreciative for any clues! Thanks, Jim Cassidy Boston Mass USA area.
