MARY TIERNEY arrived in aboard the "Ellenborough" on the 12/10/1853 accompanied by her sister Anne. Mary was 22 years old and Anne was 18. They came to from the townland of Ballydonagh (an area of 666 acres in Kings County, Baroney of Clonisk, Parish of Templeharry and Poor Law Union of Roscrea, Ireland. Their parents John and Anne were deceased. We have no other info on that from before they arrived. The brothers and sisters arrived later when Mary saved the money for them to come.
