Hi Everyone. I am hoping that I can get some assistance from some kind person. I have just changed my PC and I am now working in WindowsXP. I have loaded Family Tree Maker and it works fine but I cannot read the GV CD-Rom. I have installed the Family Archive Viewer V4 but WindowsXP doesn't like the programme for some reason. Has anyone else had this problem and could thy advise. I am unable to do any searchers/look-ups until this problem is solved. Regards Michael Brennan in Kent, England. Michael - I think you can read your CDs direct from FTM. I used to have a copy loaded just because it reads the CDs better than does FAV. I get an error message at least half the time I start FAV and have to reboot just so I can use a CD. I no longer have a copy of FTM so I am forced to use the viewer.
