My great great grandparents were THOMAS DUNN and MARGARET FINN. They came to Hurley, near Kingston, NY in the mid 1800's. Up until today I had no idea what part of Ireland they came from. Today's mail brought several death certificates on my Dunn's from Norwich, NY and low and behold one of them indicated that Thomas Dunn and Margaret Finn were from Queens County, Ireland. First thing I did was sign up on the County Laois mailing list. Based on data on the various census reports, my Thomas Dunn was born around 1820-1821 and Margaret Finn was born anywhere from 1821-1828.
