I am trying to find out more about my Kerwin/Kirwan ancestors of Abbeyleix, and would be grateful of any help. Where exactly, did John Kerwin,(a baker) and his wife Mary Murphy live,(the only address I have for them is Abbeyleix, they were there from the 1860s until the 1890s). Many of their eleven children died in childhood, where would they be buried? Who were the parents of Mary Murphy, and also, who were John Kerwin’s parents? There seems to be a family connection with the Townlands of Rathmoyle, Ballymaddock and Knocknamoe, but I don’t know what it is. Please could some one point me in the right direction, to find out any of this.
