Her death certificate indicates that she lived from 1819 to 1889, and was born in Ireland. According to a Pocahontas Co. history, she married my ggg--grandfather, William LYNCH in 1852 in Montreal, Quebec. In 1880, she is listed as administratrix of the estate of the late William LAWLER, transferring his property to William LYNCH, her husband. The relationship between Margaret LAWLER LYNCH and William LAWLER is unclear. However, William LAWLER's tombstone is next to Margaret's in St. Columbkille's Cemetery, and (here comes the Co. Laois connection -- thanks for your patience) reads: William LAWLOR died Mar. 1, 1876 Aged 60 years Born in Queens Co. Ireland Son of M and M LAWLOR Given his age (born 1816, apparently), it is possible that he is my ggg-grandmother's brother. In any case, it seems probable that she, too, is from Co. Laois. Does anyone recognize these LAWLER/LAWLORs? Thanks, Tracy Ossmann _____________________________________________________________________ Get your own family web site at at www.MyFamily.com! --MyFaMiLyMiMeBoUnDaRy02292000--
