The immigrant Thomas Delaney b. abt 1662, is said to have been the Uncle of Patrick Delaney who was Dean of Down and married to Mary Granville. Mary was a great letter writer whose letters have been published. I ordered a book on her and the book of her letters but did not find any decent clues to her husband's family other than that Patrick Delaney had a niece who married a Councillor GREEN, a lawyer. Alas, that didn't mean much to me. Here is the first generation. Elizabeth Delany was born about 1723. II. Dennis DULANEY4 was born on 28 May 1731 in Baltimore Co., MD.5 .8 He appeared on the census in 1790 in Georges Township, Fayette Co., PA.9 He died in 1814. III. John Delany was born on 11 Feb 1733.10 Thomas DELANEY was married to Unknown. Thomas DELANEY and Unknown had the following children: IV. Daniel (the elder) Dulaney was born in 1685 in Queens Co., Ireland.11,12 He died on 5 Dec 1753.13 V. Joseph Dulaney14 was born on 25 Mar 1682. He died on 13 Sep 1769. He died 13 Sep1769. VI.
