Married Julia MAHER 12 Jul 1835, Mountmellick, Laois. Family lore says that Patrick MCEVOY was either a cousin or uncle of Peter MCEVOY who lived with Peter's family. Patrick came to the US in 1823 and became a railroad contractor. Peter arrived ca. 1848-50 to work on the railroad. I believe Peter had a brother Dennis who eventually settled in Pittsburgh, PA.
