    1. [IRL-LAOIS] LUCAS, RYAN
    2. T. Bryan & B. Garvey
    3. Good morning, My gggg grandfather John RYAN hailed from Maryborough, Queen's County. He was born in circa 1786 (parents unknown at this stage). John RYAN married Nancy LUCAS (date unknown) and they had the following children; Betsy b. c. 1815 Catherine b. c. 1822 Margaret b. c. 1827 Mary b. c. 1830. John RYAN was convicted of robbing a laundry and transported to NSW aboard the ship Larkins (2) in 1829. In 1832 he requested that his wife and family be allowed to join him the Colony. His request was granted and his wife Nancy LUCAS and their daughters Catherine, Margaret and Mary arrived in NSW in 1836 aboard the ship Thomas Harrison. At the time of receiving permission to join her husband in NSW Nancy's address was Tay Lane, Maryborough, Queen's County. Betsy RYAN did not make the journey to NSW with her mother and sisters and what became of her is not known. I'm always looking for more information on Nancy LUCAS and John RYAN in Ireland but have hit the proverbial brick wall. Best wishes, Terri.
