I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. When you said Kendallville it sounded so familiar. It seems like I read something about my Philip Haslam (John Haslam's son) living in Kendallville. I remember when I read the article about Philip thinking that it was similar to Kendaville Road, a road near Howard City, Michigan. I've spent the last two months trying to find that info, unfortunately, with no success. I even tried asking other relatives. But the plot does thicken, though. Kendallville is in Noble County and my Haslem's lived there for some time. Ann O'Connor Haslam lived there after they left NY until she died and Philip Haslam lived there before moving to Michigan. I'm hoping to find some kind of information (birth or death certificates, property records) that will mention Kendallville. I'll keep in touch.
