They married across the borders of Carlow and Kilkenny. My g.g.g.g. grandmother (Eliza Griffiths) was born in 1819 and baptised at the church at Mothel in Kilkenny. I understand that there were close links between Mothel parish and neighbouring Carlow Ci parishes.
