My gg grandfather, Michael Dooley, was born in Ballinakill, County Laois in 1828. The son of John Dooley and Mary Feen Dooley. Other children: Michael b 1821 (died young), Catherine b 1823 (died young), John b 1824, James b 1829, Mary b 1831, Catherine b 1833. Michael came to the USA in 1849, settling in Peru, LaSalle County, IL. He married Mary Tarpy, date and location unknown. They had one son, John Michael b 2-4-1862. Mary died in 1900 in Peru.
