The former is now Ballygooden; the latter is cuffesboro' (this is located around Aghaboe, County Laois) which is so named from its cromwllian grantee, Captain joseph cuffe. Cuffesboro house was built in 1750.... Page 340 1653. Rathdowney was forfeited by morgan Cashin and Bryan McWilliam Fitzpatrick, Irish apists and granted portions of Ballyhenry, or Harristown. Ballbuggy and Kilcoran, to Thomas Prior Let me know if this was useful..My mother is from this area ,her maiden name is Cassin, but there are many Cashins, Cassins around this area..
