My assumptions is after independance in 1922 counties were called by their Irish names but with English spelling. I have a CD from the LDS www.familysearch.org which they no longer produce as some of the cd's are defective. Queens records for the Delany/Delaney familes doesn't start till 1866 so both 1864 and 1865 are not recorded on this CD anyway. From what I understand when RC were required to file civil records it didn't necessarily change instantly, and this is why some records appear to be missing. This is only a possibility as the wife's name is Ellen Delaney and some didnt use a maiden name in the civil registrations. Ellen Delaney was born 7 Nov 1867 to Michael & Ellen Delaney #519 Coolrain Civil Registration District, Queen Co.
