I am sure they will help, and the "border" issues are noted (I did not know this). After a quick 20 Euros expenditure, for the transciption info, I am wiser but not closer, so far. :-) The Baptism Record of 'that' Catherine Delaney (sic. with E) shows the date 5/4/1835, address, Bricane, and father Andrew Delaney; mother KITTY Delaney. (Dunkerrin, Co. Tipperary, RC) Hugh LARKIN and Jane MEAGHER as sponsors. I wonder if Kitty was ever used in lieu of Catherine ?, and I assume that Kitty was not actually a Delaney, but only the married name was shown, not her maiden name.? I found no records for the marriage of Andrew and Catherine or Kitty for that matter, but I did find an Andrew Delany (sic no E) who married an Ellen KELLY 31/01/1844, Dunkerrin, with witnesses John TIERNEY and Ellen TIERNEY. Given that the immigration records report Catherine's mother (and father) had died pre 1856, this could be a second marriage, or an entirely different Delaney. I need to be able to find some baptisms, as you have provided in your wonderful post above regarding the "cousins".. Best wishes, Colin Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
