    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: joegrandinetti Surnames: Fallon Dunne Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.britisles.ireland.lex.general/2650.1.3.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hello, I had a chance to look at the microfilm today. As I said, the records are extremely difficult to read and in very poor shape. In later years, someone wrote an index for the 1837 and forward entries, so it is easier for those years. I reviewed the 1837 - index for any children of Thos and Bridget Walsh Carter, but found none. I did see a Thomas and Bridget Carter listed as sponsors for the June 23, 1850 baptism of Margaret Bergin, daughter of Denis and Margaret Donaher Bergin, (this is the only info listed, no towns are mentioned in these records). I also reviewed the records for the 1833 bapt of Stephen Gorman and 1853 bapt of Michael Gorman, but found none. The records don't go back beyond 1815 or so, so the 1786 birth of Michael Doran could not be searched. I scanned the 1818-1821 years for bapt of James Doyle, but found none. Last but not least, I searched for bapt of Michael Doran in 1819...none for 1819, but found the June 24, 1821 bapt of a Michael Doran, son of Bryan Doran (mothers were not listed in the early years) sponsors were John Gorman and Mary Cain. Maybe this is your Michael? If you could advise of the parents of the other Gorman and Doran indivs above you're looking for, it may be helpful and I could take another look. Sorry I wasn't more successful, if you would like a scanned copy of the records I found, please email me at [email protected] and I'll happily do so. Thanks, Joe Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
