Hi all, I am trying to track my great grandparents and don't know where to begin, so I will list what I know and someone out there might be kind enough to offer some advice. Martin O'Grady born about 1832, Queens County Ireland son of Michael O'Grady and Mary Ann Kenny married Margaret Catherine Purcell approx 1862 in Kil Ninney or Kilkenny (cant read the writing) Roman Catholic. Margaret's parents were Phillip Purcell and Julia Lacey. Martin and Margaret emigrated to Victoria, Australia in 1862/3 along with possibly her parents. Family folklore has it that Martin may have been a policeman in Ireland. Any Help would be great. Regards Patricia
Colleen, there's a MARTIN GRADY marries a MARGARET PURCELL in BALLYRAGGET RC parish on the IFHF site for kilkenny. Record id 695681 I can't say that you will get any further information from the record as its just a church record and father/mother may not be mentioned. There may be a sibling though in the witnesses to the marriage and an address. Tom. ________________________________ From: Colleen Hodgson <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, November 12, 2008 12:47:14 AM Subject: [LAOIS] O'Grady, Purcell, Kenny Hi all, I am trying to track my great grandparents and don't know where to begin, so I will list what I know and someone out there might be kind enough to offer some advice.
