I don't mention the name as the administrators for the board take off any postings that give a direct reference to the name, it is fee paying and works out to under $8.00 US,CA or Auz each. If a family of 8 you get a reduced price. Which if you are not able to travel to Ireland is a bargain. Not that travelling to Ireland will make any difference in finding Parish Registers. The Clery are generally uncooperative. The CofI Representative Library is the only one stop free place to look for parish registers, along with the National Library, both need personal research. Most of the counties now have both mother and father if they are known to help with getting the right people. Having done both forms of research both travelling and personal research and using the Foundation website and believe me the Foundation is worth the cost unless you want to have a FABULOUS holiday in Ireland. For me even if I spent 100E it wouldn't equal the flight $1000.seat sale, accommodation 5 da. $500. either a car rental or train/bus $500. and of course food $40. a day if you are lucky. $2200 vs. $500. hmm. The chances of getting parish records from an RC church - nil. Annette Code Canada Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
