Pity about Lea church being COI, but thanks for the info re Killenard. Actually, I think that Peter Kennedy, died Jan 1889, and his wife Mary Anne (nee Connor) died 14 May 1906 are buried there, so there's a good chance that his father Michael Kennedy (and Michael's wife, whoever she is) are also there, but have never been able to confirm it as I can't find out where the burial records are stored. I know that they DON'T have headstones, which doesn't help. Yes, I used to be in quite regular contact with Fr. Michael Noonan of St. Michaels (think he's retired now) who was always extremely helpful, but we could never find the baptism of "my" Peter Kennedy, born c. 1825-1830. Peter K was a fishmonger, and I always wondered where he would have fished - maybe the canal? or River Barrow? Seems a strange job for a man who lived so far from the coast, but that's what it says on all his children's Civil birth certs. Anyway thanks again for the info/help.
