    3. Hello to everyone Following is my "brickwall". James GARDINER was born Queens County c. 1818. He was tried, convicted and transported to Van Diemans Land and arrived 1840 with his younger brother Thomas. The only family I have are indicated on his Convict Certificate as a widowed mother, 2 sisters and 1 brother depending on his support. The Trial was reported in the LEINSTER EXPRESS and DUBLIN & MIDLAND GENERAL ADVERTISER on 25/7/1840. In the trial, an uncle James Gardiner and his wife ?Amy (hard to read) nee LARKIN . Amy had a sister Peggy LARKIN. James GARDINER (28) married Eliza Meally/Malley/Mealey (15) on 27 November 1848, St. Paul's Church, Stanley. They had 13 children and I have all the records. James GARDINER (now spelt Gardner) died 28 March 1891. Unfortunately, his Death Certiicate only gives place of birth as Queens County, Ireland. Re-posting this in the hope that someone new to the list might share this family. Thanking you Pamela Bell Melbourne, Australia
