While visiting Urlingford Co.Kilkenny last month a very old relative of mine told me what he knows of Bridget - I jotted his info down and have tried to make sense of it all but I need help with this one please. He told me Bridget Armstrong came from Laois. Bridget was of noble blood. He mentioned Devesse or Devesci and Armstrong-Jones as names. He said Bridget arrived in Urlingford from Abbeyliex area "with child" pregnant. She had been banished from the Abbeyleix area as she brought shame on such a prestigious family never to be allowed back! I really dont know where to start with this one. I have no idea on Queens/Laois genealogy, I have been looking for her in the counties of Tipperary & Kilkenny (Fennor & Urlingford) for the last four or so years, no wonder I couldnt find her! I have the info on the De Vesci family of Abbetleix from Peerage.com but can find no connection Any help would be very welcome indeed.
